A Sunday carnival program consisting of simple picnic fun events such as Egg & Spoon Races, Sand Bag Throwing, Egg Throwing, Tug-o-War, Ms. Alex Beach Quests, Best Male Bum, and others. 2010 will be the 26th year for this well established annual event which begins at 10 A.M.
Beach Sprints and the 2K "Beach Marathon" are run in age groups (and none are taken too seriously). Cameras are not allowed in the vicinity of the arena where the events are held.
Despite the Beattie government's earlier closure of all of Queensland's beaches to nude use, the events have been trouble free and draw about 500 to 600 participants. Few, however, participate in the "Marathon" which is usually the final event of the day.

Cost: $25, includes entrance fee and t-shirt
This is the 1st running of "The Bare Burro 5K", Southern California's first nude run. (Runners will certainly see wild burros in the hills along the way.) Although there is serious competition, the emphasis is on participation and having fun in a naturist environment. Sunday race check-in starts at 9 A.M.
The course follows remote dirt roads and trails through the hilly terrain of California's badlands, with the start and finish within the family nudist park. This is a clothing optional event, although very few of the runners are clothed.
The race will start at 10:30 A.M., with the awards ceremony about noon. The race is timed and awards are presented to the top three in all age categories - from 5 and under, to 70+. The top 3 overall males and females receive medals, as do the top 3 males and females in each age group (after removing top 3 overall). All finishers will receive a memento of their achievement, and ribbons will be given to all participants 5 and under.
After the run enjoy a party with food and music; swim; relax in the hot tub or sauna; play volleyball, tennis, or shuffle board; tour the amazing Dellymaze Park; hike the Olive Dell Nature Trail (California's best), or just work on your all over body tan.
Pre-registration fee is $25 prior to April 9th which includes a commemorative t-shirt; or $15 after pre-registration and the day of the event (no t-shirt). On race day, the resort is open to members and runners only. Nonparticipating spectators will not be permitted in unless accompanied by a member. The guest fee is $15 per adult over 18 for one-day membership. All team members must be individually registered for the run. There is no additional charge for entering as a team.
A BBQ will be held after the race.
For those who are coming to Olive Dell the Saturday before the Bare Burro 5K, including those looking to pre-race the course, of course, Olive Dell is planning guided tours of the totally unique Dellymaze Park and the newly opened Olive Dell Nature Trail. Dave will be offering tennis lessons; and if there are enough interested people, volleyball, shuffleboard, and horseshoe competitions will be held. Nude Karaoke singing will be held Saturday evening starting about 6 P.M.; a fun dance at 8 P.M. with a live band - the annual Trailer Trash Dance - followed by a relaxing soak in the hot tub. Hopefully the pool will be warm enough, and it will certainly be warm enough for some relaxation/sunbathing. The restaurant will be open all day, and have a special dinner (must ordered by lunch time).
It should be a fun weekend for you and any friends you bring along. There are still very nice cabins available for $30 a night (call Olive Dell at (909) 825-6619, and ask for Bobby).
Olive Dell Ranch is located in the center of California's Inland Empire, just a few miles from San Bernardino and Riverside, close by to many of Southern California's main tourist attractions, five miles from hotels and shopping, and only 25 minutes from Ontario Airport. Camping and the usual facilities are available at Olive Dell Ranch. Regular day fees apply on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for those camping. For full information about the resort, click on the above URL address above.
Come join us, kick up your heels, then relax the way God intended. What a natural way to welcome the Spring!

The Bay to Breakers is a textiled running event which travels the width of the San Francisco peninsula. The BARE-2-BREAKERS is a group of "uncostumed" demonstrators who participate (within the Bay to Breakers run) by running or walking the annual event's entire 7.46 mile daytime course stark naked.
The BARE-2-BREAKERS is the only public nude run literally traversing the width of a major world class city before many tens of thousands of spectators and live T.V. The demonstration run is organized by the BARE-2-B Boosters which provides authoritative public service information about this most awesome and magnetic nude demonstration. The Boosters' text Web site link above (baretobreakers.com) is the most detailed and informative site available of any nude run.
First time participants who sign-up and participate with the Boosters BARE-2-B group will find the highly organized group to be fun, supportive, and the race easy to do. Participants come from throughout the world.
Due to the 2007 introduction of timing chips by the Bay to Breakers organizers, BARE-2-B'ers now divide into five various speed groups for the start. A noncompetitive sixth segment forms the "Bandit" group.
The Bay to Breakers in 2011 will be running for the 100th time on the traditional third Sunday in May. This coming event will be the BARE-2-BREAKERS 19th annual nude run; and the expected 18th consecutive year of no police intervention (the first year the police didn't know what not to do... but things have now gone without problems for 18 straight years).

The weekend will start off Saturday, July 3rd, with pentathlon style events.
Tything Barn 5K Sun Run follows the grass trails around the glades and lagoons of Tything Barn's 23 acre naturist site in Pembrokeshire, West Wales. All the indications are for steady growth in a country where there is no long established tradition of nude running.
Although there is serious competition for most entrants, the emphasis is on participation and having fun. All finishers receive a memento of their achievement and there are prizes for placed runners. New this year's main prize, the H&E cup, is for the fastest competitor. The current record currently stands at just over 18 minutes.
Tything Barn is a wonderful venue for sporting events and the Sunday 5K race follows grass paths on a three lap course around the perimeter of the site. Given the spontaneous barbecues and entertainments which have occurred in previous years, this should be another great weekend.
Camping and the usual facilities are available at Tything Barn and other accommodations are available locally. For full information about Tything Barn and this year's events, click on the above URL address."

July 2002 witnessed the first organized nude demonstration run in Pamplona, Spain to provide an alternative to the allegedly cruel Running of the Bulls and bloodly bullfight aftermath. (Steakfest?) The protest is held one day before the start of the festival of San Fermin; and two days prior to the start of the festival's daily bull runs.
In 2002, some of the 25 original demonstrators wore the traditional white clothes and red scarves of the bull runners; but most participated seminude or in just the skin they were born in. This run (where the participants actually jog or walk) is reported by the organizers to be a fun event in which you can go nude and stand up for the humane treatment of animals.
For 2003, a reported 150 protesters showed up, many of whom partially or totally stripped; but a line of police solidly blocked their demonstration run making it ineffective. Authorities claimed that the demonstration wasn't authorized. About 20 men and women did an alternative strip down protest near the center of Pamplona.
In 2004, a reported 300+ protesters participated (about 100 were native Spaniards). Being denied a demonstration permit from the Pamplona town hall, a PETA attorney reportedly acquired one from the regional government with a cave-in proviso that the demonstrators would not bare all. As a result there wasn't any total nudity during the PETA run; only some topless and scanty clad demonstrators. Although this agreement was allegedly known to PETA a couple of weeks before the event, PETA appears to have intentionally withheld this no nudity agreement from many demonstrators (who came to demonstrate naked) until after their arrival in Pamplona. Perhaps PETA should be more concerned about PETA's Ethical Treatment of Allies.
In 2005, PETA was armed with a Navarra court authorization (June 28, 2005) allowing their Pamplona demonstration, provided that it "does not affect good civic customs." PETA turned out what one police source generously estimated were 500 demonstrators, some of whom were dressed down to their underpants. A count from wire service photos places the number to be closer to half of the police estimate; far short of the PETA's prerun estimate of 600 in which the police were apparently attempting to justify their preparations for.
For 2006, PETA claimed 700 marched. Police said there were 500 to 600. Photos show that the underwear troupe had much less than 500.
PETA claims that protesters from more than 30 countries participated in their 2007 event. Since then their group size has fluxuated.
PETA advises that fish are also our friends. That we should not eat fish either. (Perhaps too much watching of Nemo?) PETA also took on Girl Scout Troop 34 of Fairbanks, Alaska in 2003 for hunting beaver dens and laying traps in order to cook beaver meat and make hats and mittens from the hides. PETA suffered a major defeat as their public protest back-fired and some Alaskans countered the intrusion of the Virginia based group by slaughtering extra beavers and sending the pelts to the girls. (PETA Encountering Testy Alaskans)
In April 2005, PETA also lost an assinine false-advertising lawsuit against the California Milk Producers Advisory Board funded by farmers. PETA took issue against the Board's ads showing cows grazing in green pastures with the slogan, "Great cheese comes from happy cows. Happy cows come from California." PETA took their complaint all the way to the state's Supreme Court that it may never be known that cows are happy; that they live in deplorable conditions; and that the ads falsely portray the lives of California cows. (Editor's note: Who cares?!! I love defenseless animals, especially in a good gravy. Question: If a cow laughed, would milk come out of its nose?)
Even after the 2004 Pamplona nude sell out betrayal, and the Navarra ruling, PETA continues to promote their Pamplona event on their Web site as a demonstration of the "Running of the Nudes." A misrepresentation of full nudity.
For 2011, PETA says the demonstrators will once again be back two days before the 7-days of bull runs which are always started on July 7th during the centuries-old 204-hour-long festival which begins with a ceremony July 6th called chupinazo, where a small rocket is shot from a balcony over the main square to commence the beginning of 9-days of street parties in honor of Pamplona's patron saint, San Fermin.
The festival of San Fermin is more of a thanksgiving celebration for the bounty of wine than it is for bullfighting. Pamplona is the capitol of the winemaking region of Navarra and many revelers during the festival stay up spending the nights drinking red wine or sangria. Pamplona is also just east of Rioja, another world-renowned wine region.
The 2011 "Human Race" will again attempt to follow the same short 974-yard cobblestone route that the bulls run which starts in the city's old quarter at the Santo Domingo Corrals and ends at the Plaza de Toros. Usually six bulls, chosen as the best fighters from Spain's top breeding ranches, and some weighing over 1,300 pounds (600 kilograms), take part each day in the 8 A.M. bull run called encierro. These bulls are highly aggressive, intelligent, and possess razor-sharp horns.
They are guided by steers that are used to direct the bulls and to help keep them in a cluster for the three minute run to the bull ring where later in the afternoon, the bulls are slowly stabbed and bloodily cut to death for festival entertainment.![]()

The Running of the Bulls dates back to 1591. Since record-keeping began in 1924, 14 people have been killed in the bull runs. Another source claims 15 deaths since 1911; no tally on the bulls. The last human death was in 2009, a 27 year old man, Daniel Jimeno Romero, from the Madrid area who was vacationing in Pamplona with his family. Prior to that was 22-year-old American, Matthew Tassio, who was gored to death in 1995. The festival was made internationally famous by Ernest Hemingway's novel The Sun Also Rises.
![]()
A woman's Equal Rights calling has been recently circulating for Pamplona to host a Running of the Cows in which women can run in front of and equally act crazy.
Having such bad luck with Pamplona's authorities, perhaps PETA should divert their protest to the Showtime Festival in New Zealand where they have had the "Running of the Rams."
